To Generate the First AssetWise Schema

This topic describes how generate the AssetWise schema for the first time.
  1. In AssetWise Director, log in to the community.
  2. From the View menu, select Search.
    Tip: You can also press F3.
  3. In the Search list, select Documents, enter EB_PLUGIN_SCHEMA, and then click the Search icon.
  4. Double-click the most recent revision in the list, to open it. For example:
  5. From the Actions menu, select Copy.
  6. Expand the Copies and Files sections.
  7. On the Copy Document dialog, in the Files & Copies section, if selected, clear the EBECPLUGIN_SCHEMA zip file in the SECONDARY_MASTER option.
  8. Click Copy, to copy the document.
  9. In the Document Status list, select Approved. The schema generation job starts in AssetWise.
  10. Monitor the status of the schema generation, and when the job is complete, refresh AssetWise Director, and then navigate to the schema revision.
  11. In the Copies section, double-click to open the SECONDARY_MASTER copy.
  12. In the upper right corner, click Show all.
  13. In the Files section, expand SECONDARY_MASTER. The newly-generated schema appears in the list.
  14. Close the copy.
  15. In the Copies section, double-click to open the MASTER copy.
  16. In the upper right corner, click Show all.
  17. In the Files section, click Add. The Open dialog appears.
  18. Browse to the following network location: [Deployment_directory]\ec_schemas\FirstSchemaGen\ec_schemas.
  19. Select all schema files in the list and then click Open.
All non-generated schemas are updated to the document copy.
